After changing diapers, relieving ourselves, and grabbing coffee, we wandered over to the Chamber of Commerce to learn about the sleepy town. Hanging amongst other local merch was an advertisement for the “10th Annual Schulenberg Sausagefest.” Cue tail wag and perked ears.

None of us had yet become any of the things we are now. But we were officially brothers.

Church work has put a lot of miles on my faith— most Sundays, church is “just church.” But there are Sundays like this one where old songs sound new again. Those are the good Sundays.
